Clarkson University - Underwater Robotics

SPEED TEAM, stands for Student Projects for Engineering Experience and Design.

As the Design and Build Sub-Team Leader, I oversee all aspects of design, prototyping, and construction within my team. My role involves leading a group of students in creating detailed designs and executing the physical build of our project. This includes managing the project timeline, ensuring we meet key milestones, and adapting designs based on testing feedback and new requirements.

In addition to managing the technical work, I also coordinate with leaders of other sub-teams to ensure that our efforts are aligned and integrate smoothly with the overall project goals. I regularly present our team's progress at weekly meetings, highlighting successes, addressing challenges, and proposing solutions to ensure we remain on track.

One of my key responsibilities is to mentor new members, passing on technical skills and project knowledge to prepare them for future leadership roles within the team. This involves providing hands-on training in design software, manufacturing processes, and problem-solving techniques, ensuring that the team continues to grow and excel in upcoming years.
